A 16 year old schoolboy has been hospitalized following an alleged assault by four teachers of his school, Galenbindunuwewa Maha Vidyalaya.
The GCE O/L student had written something
on a wall against the four teachers in question for their conducting
private tuition classes.
Angered by the student’s act, the teachers had dragged him out of his classroom, beaten him and trampled him.
The boy had kept the incident a secret from
his parents, as the four teachers had threatened him that he would not
be given admission to the O/L examination.
He had told the parents about the assault
only after he had fallen ill two days ago, and admitted to hospital with
complaints of difficulty in breathing, dizziness and chest pain.
